In the social-media era, a picture is worth more than a thousand words, as young couples share their relationship statuses and engagement photos far and wide.

And now a London-based photographer is finding the romance in posing engagement-style photos featuring long-married couples who are still carrying a torch for each other.

Sujata Setia of London recently told the Huffington Post that she always asks elderly couples to pose in engagement-style positions to capture a newlywed vibe, and it almost always creates a magical moment.

These couples, who have been together for decades, are surprised to find themselves in a youthful and optimistic tableau.

“I tell them to hold hands, kiss. The couples always laugh first, the husbands mostly,” Setja told HuffPo. “And then the shoots are always so full of laughter because both husband and wife are endlessly giggling.”

Caught on film, the magic lasts forever.

They say that youth is wasted on the young. Could the same be said about engagement photos?

You might think this is silly, and it’s certainly not for everybody. Just take a look for yourself at the end results and see if this doesn’t warm your heart just a little bit.
